Tani (Kindergarten) won first place in her division while
Karlyn (Second grade) received honorable mention for her entry. The BOWS poster contest, held annually to teach students the importance of water conservation, is open to all students on Oahu in kindergarten through sixth grade. The theme for this year’s contest was “Ola I Ka Wai” which means “Water gives Life”.
Tani’s poster will be showcased in the 2010 Water Conservation Calendar and will be available in December 2009. Tani and Karlyn’s posters will be on exhibit at Honolulu Hale’s Lane Gallery from May 4-15; Pearlridge Uptown from May 18 - 29; Kahala Mall from June 1 -12; Kapolei Hale from June 15 - 26 and Windward Mall from June 29 to July 10.
Congratulations to Tani and Karlyn for their achievements as well as to Mr. Garrett Omoto for his guidance and cultivating interest among our students in this annual event.
