For the first time since the 2001 season, the HBA boys varsity golfers are ILH champions. The team finished in second place in the final tournament of the season April 11th at the Makaha Valley Country Club to claim the ILH Class A (small schools) title. Overall, the Eagles finished in third place behind only Punahou and Kamehameha.

Leading the way for HBA was senior
Travis Sonomura, who finished as a bronze medalist in the ILH individual championships completed April 21st. He shot 77 at Oahu Country Club in the opening round on April 14th and closed with a 79 in breezy conditions at Waialae Country Club. Sonomura averaged 74.6 for the ILH season, good for 13th place individually.
Joining Sonomura in qualifying for the HHSAA David Ishii State Golf Championships May 12-14 at the Waialua Golf Course on Kauai are senior
Mikah Obrero (16th in ILH, 76.2 average), junior
Ryan Yoshida (20th in ILH, 76.8 average), and senior
Robert Collins (22nd in ILH, 77.2 average). The top 29 finishers qualified for the state tournament. HBA senior Troy Enoki will be the ILH's first alternate (30th in ILH, 79.6 average).
