About HBA

Last year students from HBAs The Art and History of Film and Digital Filmmaking classes wrote, planned, filmed, edited and produced five short films.  Two of these five films were selected for screening at the Louis Vuitton Hawaii International Film Festival Student Showcase, a collection of the best entries from primary and secondary students throughout Hawaii and the United States.   The films will show on Sunday October 19, 2008 at 11:45 A.M. at Regal Dole Cannery Theaters.  Admission is free.

		In the Bag Directed by: Joshua Shon Written by: Janelle Higashida Produced by: Melary Ishido Starring: Chelsea Wong, Brad Kam, Anika Chang, Christian Kobayashi, Talia Egami, Lauryn Liao and Tani Takushi Synopsis:  Sick of superficiality, Gracey Wong finds security by wearing a paper bag on her head. When a long lost friend, is transferred to her school he becomes one of her biggest problems.
		Love Is... Directed by: Jordan Nakamura Written by: Andrea Hidano and Jordan Nakamura Produced by: Janna Lau Starring: Andrea Hidano, Mayson Haines, Arjay Gruspe, Debbie Tenney and Ryan Tenney Synopsis:  Addie loves her father.  He would get her anything that money can buy, but what she wants from him doesn't come with a price tag.  When she is assigned to ask the people closest to her what love is, she fears that her father won't be able to answer.
