The HBA girls varsity volleyball team defeated Word of Life Academy on October 20th at HBA’s Dan Liu Gymnasium 25-23, 25-22, 25-12 to claim its third consecutive Interscholastic League of Honolulu Division II Championship. The Eagles (18-2) advance to next week’s HHSAA Girls Volleyball State Championships as the top seed out of the ILH and receive a first round bye. The Firebrands (15-5) will be the ILH’s number two seed.

athletics page for the link to the state tournament bracket and follow the team. The bracket – from the HHSAA website – will be posted by October 26th.
HBA will play their quarter-final match at either Kalani HS or Farrington HS on Thursday, October 29th. If they reach the championship final, the match will be at 5:00 PM on Saturday, October 31st at the University of Hawaii Stan Sheriff Center.
