About HBA

Congratulations to  8th grader Kyle Park for placing 2nd in the state finals of the National Geographic Bee.  Way to go, Kyle!

Kyle was one of more than 50 Hawai'i students participating in the Bee. This is Kyle's second year making it to the state level of the Bee.  Last year Kyle came in third overall. This year Kyle won $75, a globe, and various other items from the National Geographic Society. Although Kyle said he was really disappointed that he was not the overall winner his humbleness and good sportsmanship make him a great role model for all of us.

In order to qualify for the state level, Kyle won the HBA middle school Bee in January and passed a written test composed of 70 questions.
