Adam Jones ('88) spoke on July 18 to a group of his classmates and other friends at HBA's Art and Science multi-purpose room at the high school campus. When Jones began working with The Jesus Film 21 years ago, it was already being dubbed into many languages. But the process was slow and laborious. Using his computer engineering skills, he was able to speed it up to 120 languages a year. It has now been dubbed into 1,239 languages and has been shown in practically every country on earth.

PTF Celebrates New School Year with $47,000 Donation

Hawaii Baptist Academy's Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF) celebrated the start of the new school year by presenting $47,000 to the school. The money comes from funds raised at the 2014 Fun Fair. The fair, which first began in 1974, is the school's only fundraiser and is hosted each year by the PTF.

The eighth grade class visited the Honolulu Museum of Art on Tuesday. The visit served two purposes, according to art teacher Juri Yamashita. The first was to expose the eighth graders to "an art museum experience." The second was to demonstrate how all subjects, including science, math and history can be taught through art.
