School Year Begins with All-School Chapel

Hawaii Baptist Academy kicked off the school year with their all-school fellowship and chapel on August 17. More than 600 students from HBA's middle school and high school walked down Nuuanu Avenue on Monday to meet with their elementary school buddies at the Bates Street campus.

Hawaii Baptist Academy freshman Madison "Ku'ulei" Moku was recently named the 2015 Interscholastic League of Honolulu Track & Field Girls Most Valuable Player. She is HBA's first ILH Track MVP since Lauren Ho in 2005.

6th Grade Aloha Celebration

The Class of 2021 celebrated their accomplishments Tuesday evening at the 6th Grade Aloha Celebration. The celebration, which was held in the courtyard of the elementary school campus, began with all 96 students singing a class song written to the tune of "See You Again" by Wiz Khalifa featuring Charlie Puth.

HBA senior BJ Hosaka has been selected as one of 12 inductees for the 2015 Class of the Hawaii High School Athletic Association Hall of Honor. This is widely considered the top prep athletic honor for students in Hawaii.

HBA Wins Boys Volleyball State Title

The HBA boys varsity volleyball team is a state champion once more. The team defeated Hana High School before about 1,500 fans at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center on May 16 to win the 2015 New City Nissan HHSAA Division 2 State Volleyball Championship. The title is the Eagles' fifth straight and seventh in the past eight years.
