To some, this subject may seem as boring as watching paint dry, but what if there was a way to learn the value of Shakespeare and laugh at the same time? Tickets are on sale now for this year’s spring comedy "I Hate Shakespeare". You may purchase them from the cast, the crew, Mrs. Fong, or at the door. This hilarious play will take place on Friday, May 1st and Saturday, May 2nd at 7 p.m. at the HBA Elementary Auditorium. Plus, tickets are only $5, a cheap rate for English extra credit and a great family experience! {Mrs. Fong} 5. From Mr. Oshiro (Athletic Director):a. All Students: For your information, the gym will be closed for most, if not all, of the summer due to renovations. All HBA summer sports will continue in some form or fashion, but they won't be in our gym. Annual events canceled for this summer are: Eagle Hoop Camp, Volleyball Skills Clinic, ILH Boys Intermediate Summer Basketball League, and HBA Summer Recreation Classes. Contact me if you have any questions.
b. All Students: Weight Training & Conditioning for football - all levels - started April 13, 2009 and will be ongoing on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 4:30pm to 6:30pm at Mid-Pacific Institute weight room. A small towel is required. If you are participating in another school sport you may come out when your season is finished. Weight training and conditioning is not mandatory, but highly recommended. Thanks, Mr. Oshiro
11th-12th Grades: HBA Ohana – Today is the HBA Blood Drive! Thank you for pulling together to make it happen—especially to those of you donating blood today, but also to those who are contributing great food for them, the staff and students who are caring for the logistics, the nurse, the teachers of juniors and seniors who put up with their classes being interrupted, and the NHS officers and members who planned and recruited... You all bring out our HBA school pride and make a difference in our community. Our goal is 75 appointments with a result of 50+ pints collected. We still need more help to get there. It's not too late to donate blood! [L. Nakano]
