9th-12th Grades:

1.     Reminder: Non-Mills jackets can be worn in the early morning before school.  However, after the first bell, only Mills jackets are allowed during the school day.  {Mr. Namba}

2.    All Winter Sport Athletes:  Once your season is completed, please launder, bag and label your school issued uniforms and return to the athletic office.  Thanks, Mr. Oshiro

3.    All Students:  Go out and support the boys varsity basketball team this week as they are participating in the HHSAA State Championships Thursday through hopefully Saturday, March 5-7.  Information on seeding, opponents, sites and times came out Sunday, March 1st and will be posted on campus and on the HBA website.  HBA Pride...GO EAGLES!  Thanks, Mr. Oshiro

4.    Servant Group meeting this Wednesday, during lunch in the band room.  CEW is coming up soon and we need your help getting things ready.  Please check in at the Christian Ministries office if you have some free time and would like to serve in this way.  {Mrs. Gruspe}


9th-11th GRADES: 

1.    If you have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or better, you should receive a letter inviting you to be a candidate for selection to the National Honor Society (NHS).  If you did not get one, first ask your homeroom teacher if he/she has a letter for you.  See Mrs. Nakano in Room 107 if you still do not get one.  Read the letter and directions carefully.  Forms must be submitted to Mrs. Nakano by Wednesday, March 11 to be considered for NHS membership.  {Mrs. Nakano}

2.    The Millswear Store at the Dole Cannery is having a Super Saturday Savings on Saturday, March 7.  Save 15% off your purchase.  The discount applies to in-stock items only.  The store is closed Sunday and Monday.   Don't miss it!  {Mrs. Hirae}


10th-11th GRADES:  The Dept of Education announces its 19th annual Hawaii-Okinawa Student Exchange Program.  Twenty-five students will be selected statewide to participate in this Okinawan home-stay program scheduled for June 12-27, 2009.  If you want to apply, please pick up an application form in the Counseling Center.  Students will be responsible for their airfare of approximately $1,300 and any personal incidentals.  All accommodations, meals, and ground transportation in Okinawa will be provided by the Okinawan government or host family.  The ability to speak Japanese is not a requirement.  Applications are due on March 13, 2009.

11th GRADE: 

1.    Juniors-There will be a joint homeroom in the cafeteria this Thursday, March 5.  {Mr. Yokotake}

2.    The junior class will be attending the Hawaii College Fair at the Neal Blaisdell Center on Thursday, April 30, 2009 in the morning, and will do a tour of the Hawaii Pacific University downtown and windward campuses in the afternoon.  There will be a joint homeroom devotional from 7:50 a.m. until 8:05 a.m.  Students will leave at 8:15 a.m. and return to campus at 3:30 p.m.  Please make after school arrangements accordingly.  In-season athletes will be returning to campus by 3:00 p.m.    Please return all field trip permission forms to your homeroom teacher by Friday, March 20.  {Mrs. Goya}
