9th-12th GRADES: 

1.    Congratulations to our first two winners from the Reading Revolution contest!  Kim (12) and Jacob (10) each won a $5.00 Starbucks gift card for getting caught reading!  You can be a winner too!  Get caught reading!  Take a quiz!  Write a quiz!  The next two winners will be announced next week Monday.  Don't worry, if your name was not drawn this time, you are still eligible for the monthly prize."  {Mrs. Huster}

2.    Congratulations to the following students who represented HBA at the District Science Fair earlier this month:
    Juniors: Kalsi  & Aimee
    Sophomores: Christopher & Bryce

More congratulations to Christopher who won third place at the District Science Fair, and also received the best in category award for microbiology.  Christopher and Kalsi will be moving on to the State Science Fair in April.

3.    This week and next week Mr. Yasutomi's Forensic Science Class will be studying the decomposition of dead bodies.  There is a pig corpse out near the stream roped off with tape written: "Crime Scene Do Not Cross."  Please do not disturb the pig, and keep away from surrounding areas.  Please direct any questions to Mr. Yasutomi.

4.    There will be a debriefing meeting this Wednesday during lunch for PAC students who hosted a MAC guest.  Please meet at the front steps of the Admin. Bldg. within 5 minutes after the bell.  Lunch will be provided.  {Mrs. Goya}

7.    *Foodland's Shop for Higher Education Program started on February 10, 2010 and will continue through March 23, 2010.  This program helps schools to earn college scholarships for high school seniors across the state.  Be sure to designate HBA when shopping at Foodland to help our school earn Maika'i Points.  HBA's school code is 7521.  Thank you for your support.  {K. 9th-11th GRADES:

*Re-enrollment contracts were mailed home to parents of K-11th graders.  They are due by March 1st.  Please remind your parents to mail the contract in the return envelope that goes directly to the First Hawaiian Bank lockbox.  Thank you.  {Mrs. Lee}

SENIORS:
Don’t forget to come with your parents to this Friday's Senior Parent Night meeting in the gym starting at
6:00 p.m.  You'll be hearing important information about graduation and senior trip, as well as trying on your graduation cap and gown.  It’s very important for both you and your parents to attend this meeting.  See you there!  {Mr. Namba}

SOPHOMORES - East Coast Trip Group D (Honzaki's group):
Don't forget: We're having a meeting during lunch on Wednesday in room 300B.  Lunch will be provided, so come quickly.

FROM COLLEGE COUNSELING:
