1.    All Students: As a reminder, the Middle School Campus is off-limits to high school students. If you are waiting for athletic buses, please remain in or near the covered lanai closest to the bus pick-up.  {Mr. Honzaki}

2.    All Students: If your winter sport season has concluded, please remember to launder, bag, label, and return your school-issued uniforms to the Athletic Office as soon as possible. Thanks, Mr. Oshiro

3.    PAC Members-Thank you PAC members for a job well done in hosting our MAC guests. They all enjoyed their time with you and are looking forward to next year. Some of them have actually joined MAC so great job in representing HBA. There will be a PAC meeting this Wednesday (March 6th) during lunch in C102. Lunch will be provided so please be prompt. If you cannot make the meeting, you are responsible for seeing Mrs. Goya any time prior to that meeting time. Mahalo!  {Mrs. Goya}

4.    Katie Miyashiro, class of 2007, will be sharing her testimony in chapel this week.  {Mrs. Gruspe}
 
5.    Students attending the Jr./Sr. Banquet: As a reminder, all dresses must be checked prior to the banquet. If dresses are not checked, students may be turned away at the door and no refund will be issued. The dress check, and, if necessary, a “fix” must be completed prior to entry.

The times for dress checks in the Counseling Center are as follows:
After school Monday, Thursday, and Friday up until 4:00 p.m.
Special time slots are available on Mondays till 9:00 p.m. by appointment; however, non-HBA students have priority for these time slots.
There is a storage room in the Counseling Center that can be used for dress storage.

6.    Congratulations to Tim P. (12H3) for taking 2nd place in the statewide Shakespeare Recitation Contest last week.  {Mrs. Ustare}

7.    Japan Trip (Mrs. Watanabe):
a.    *There will be a meeting for parents and students on Monday, March 4, 5:30 p.m. in the MPR. 
b.    There will be a meeting for students on Thursday, March 14 at lunch in Room 303 (Watanabe Sensei’s room).

8.    CEW Announcements (Mrs. Gruspe):
a.    Please note there was an error on the permission forms for some of the CEW permission forms. Some of the forms stated that you need to find your own transportation. Please change that to “transportation will be provided by HBA bus.” All forms are due on March 7th.

b.    For those who can come and help set-up for CEW on Saturday, March 9th, please get a permission form from Mr. Lockridge.

c.    You should be receiving your schedule for CEW today during homeroom. Please look it over for any errors. If you need to make changes, please see Mrs. Gruspe ASAP.

d.    There will be evening chapel services in the gym next week Tuesday and Thursday, 6:00-8:00 p.m.

e.    You will notice on your schedules that you have been assigned to a grade-level THRIVE course. We are excited to be able to provide seminars that deal with relevant topics you will face now and in the future. These courses are geared to help students focus on choosing God's best for your life when confronted with the world's view of self/body image, sexual purity, healthy and wholesome relationships, and holding on to these values in college. Choose God's best and THRIVE.

9.    Bowling Club: Club bowling on Tues. March 5. Meet in the MS parking by athletic bus pick-up. Bus leaves at 2:15 p.m. for Shafter. First time club members must turn in permission forms to Mrs. Hayashi in the library. You may get permission forms from her. Parents must pick you up at Shafter before 5:00 pm.  {Mr. Hayashi}
