Eagles, Job Well Done!
Come see the Honolulu District Spelling Bee Perpetual Trophy in the Front Office! One of our 7th grader’s name has been engraved in the 2008 spot! It is a beautiful tribute. Her hard work has brought a $250 honorarium from the Honolulu Advertiser to be used for literacy efforts at the middle school.  Congratulations!

Evacuation Drill on 4/20:  Wow! It was completed in 8.7 minutes.  The students and faculty did it quietly and efficiently. I was so proud of all of you. Thank you!

Parent Request:
We are concerned about the number of absences in the past couple of weeks. We ask that you please keep your child home, if he / she is not feeling well. We have noticed a number of students who are feeling poorly and return to school prematurely because they are worried about assignments or a test that will be given.  This could result in: 1) he/she may not do well on the test or assignments and 2) the illness could spread to other students, teachers, or staff, causing absences for them. Tests and assignments can be made up after they are fully recovered. We would truly appreciate your compliance in this matter.  Thank you.
