From the School Nurse, Mrs. Kealoha:
Controlling Influenza at School - There is much concern about the current outbreak of swine flu.  Fortunately, there haven’t been any confirmed cases in Hawaii, however, it’s a good time to remind students (and adults) to practice good hygiene habits to help control the spread of germs:
➢    Wash your hands with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds.
➢    Cover your mouth and nose with tissues when sneezing and coughing.
➢    Avoid sharing drinks, water bottles, eating utensils, and pencils.
➢    Try to avoid close contact with sick people.
Parents are reminded not to send children to school when they are ill.  You should also see a physician if you have a cough, sore throat, body aches, or malaise that is accompanied by a fever.  For more information about the swine influenza, please visit the CDC Web site: http://www.cdc.gov/swineflu/
