Scripture: “’For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”

From the MS Principal, Mrs. Atta:Announcement:
Letters were sent home describing the new sex education curriculum being delivered this week. The 7th grade curriculum is designed by Concordia Publishing House, exclusive printer for the Lutheran Church. The 8th grade curriculum is provided by the
Try Wait sex education program operated through the Catholic Charities Hawaii. Best Publishing produces the
PATH curriculum taught by the
Try Wait team. Both programs will have sessions from a Christian point of view and address age-appropriate social-psychological and physiological aspects of human sexuality. Again, if you have any questions or would like your child not to participate, please contact me.
A Poem:As I anticipate the upcoming Christian Emphasis Week (CEW) celebrated at HBA each year and the fellowship at the Hawaiian Island Ministries 2010 Conference this week, I’d like to share with you this poem. I believe it is something each child wishes a parent to bless him/her with each and every day. Have a blessed week!
God’s Gift of LifeGod gives us time for our stories to be told,
For our journeys to be made,
For our purpose to unfold.
God gives us time to grow stronger in His grace,
To become who we are born to be,
To find our unique place in His creation.
God made you different from every other person in the world for a purpose.
Each day is a day for celebration, joy and caring.
Your life begins today with the plan God has for you.
