From the MS Principal, Mrs. Atta:
Announcements:
Notice for 8th Graders:
Field trips are a privilege.  Students with missing assignments or repeated classroom behavioral offenses will not be able to attend the field trip to the Wet and Wild Water Park. Instead they will be expected to remain at school in uniform and work will be assigned.

Wow our Yearbooks are here! Yearbooks will be distributed this Wednesday at 3:00 via your HR.

Be sure to make time before the end of the school year to have your friends sign your yearbook. Your yearbook will be something you will want to keep for a long time.  Take care of it and be sure that it’s kept in good condition. Remember ---
At HBA Middle School, we care for ourselves, each other and this place.

To help you to do this, the following are the Dos and Don’ts of Yearbook etiquette:

Yearbooks can be out only during non-class times.  Any yearbook that is out when a class is in session will be confiscated by the teacher and you may pick it up from me by 3:00 p.m. the following week. The yearbook is kept for the entire week. If it’s confiscated on Wednesday then you’ll pick it up on the following Wednesday. If it’s your friends yearbook you are signing, your friend will need to pick it up the following week. So be a good friend and remember to refuse to let them break this rule. Repeat offenses will be considered insubordination and treated as such.

Also, no graffiti on your book nor on others will be allowed. No crossing or blacking out of your face or others.  Written remarks including drawings must be appropriate. Appropriate means your parents and teachers will consider the words wonderful. If you have any questions on whether something is appropriate, it’s probably not. So don’t write or draw it.  Remember the:

ABCs of BeAttitude
You choose your…Attitude.
You choose your…Behavior.
You reap the results in Celebration or Consequence.
Your Choices build your Character.
