From the Principal, Mrs. Atta:Math Challenge! Come Join the Fun!
Math Challenge is on Saturday, November 28th. HBA’s math team has been practicing and working hard. Math Challenge is an invitational tournament offered to all Oahu middle schools private and public. School teams and individual team members compete on solving mathematical problems. This year we have the largest number of school teams entered. The high school National Honor Society sponsors this event and the student co-directors are Kalsi Kwan and Aimee Uyehara. They are doing a wonderful job and many Oahu middle schoolers will benefit at this event on HBA’s middle school campus.

From NJHS Advisor, Mrs. QuekNJHS Food DriveHave you ever suffered from hunger for longer than a day? If so, you will understand the urgent need to help the poor and the homeless, especially during this Thanksgiving season.
The NJHS is sponsoring a food drive for the next three weeks and encourage you to show your compassion and support. All food collected will be donated to the River of Life, a Christian homeless shelter.
Here's how you can participate:
What to bring: Bags of rice; boxed pasta meals; canned food, especially those high in protein like SPAM, chili, corned beef, beef stew, chunky chicken soups, tuna, and salmon; peanut butter; juice.
When to bring it: Any day between now and Wednesday, November 25, but the sooner, the better!
Where to put it: an NJHS food drive box will be placed in every homeroom for your convenience.
Though virtue (goodness) is its own reward, the NJHS wants to offer an ice-cream treat to the homeroom that makes the greatest contribution to our food drive! Please help us help others!
