From the MS Principal, Mrs. Atta:

Eagles, Job Well Done!
Students have done well in class, the campus grounds are clean and trash are no where to be seen. I believe you have demonstrated care and respect of ourselves, our things and our place. Please continue to make our middle school one that everyone attends with anticipation and joy. Please be responsible every day through the use of the ABCs of the YESS System:

ABC BeAttitude
You choose your…Attitude.
You choose your…Behavior.
You reap the results in Celebration or Consequence.
Your Choices build your Character.

At HBA Middle School, we take care of ourselves, each other and this place.

Please review additional campus rules to help continue with a smooth opening month of school.

➢    If any unattended, books, backpacks, lunches and other materials are found on the top of lockers, table tops, benches and hallways, they will be considered Lost & Found items and incur a demerit(s).

➢    Appearance and Dress Standards: The goal of the dress standard is to provide a positive, distraction-free learning and social environment.

  • School uniforms are required upon entry to campus till campus departure.
  • Undergarments. Undershirts and colorful socks or stockings are allowed. Long sleeve shirts under the HBA uniforms are not allowed. Undergarments cannot extend beyond the uniform top sleeves nor bottom hem ie. T-shirts worn under the HBA uniform polo shirts.
  • Hats are not allowed indoors. You may wear hats before the 1st bell and after school dismissal. Never
  • Hair length for boys is all about “eyes, ears, and collars”.  In other words, boys’ hair should be above the eyes, the ear canal, and the collar.
  • Covered shoes (athletic or dress) required for it is for your safety. Both shoes should be a matching pair. Keep your own pair of shoes, switching shoes with your friends is an unsafe and unsanitary practice.

From Gym Manager:  Mr. Sugiura:
Preseason girls intermediate basketball conditioning will start on Tuesday, August 24.  All interested girls who are not participating in a fall sport should meet in the weight room at 3:10 p.m.  Workouts will generally last for two hours and a schedule will be distributed at the first workout.  If you are unable to attend this first workout, please see Coach Keith in the athletic office.

From MS Front Office:  Mrs. Matsushima:
We are still sorting through the PE Uniforms.  Please check your child’s order.  If you have received sizes that you did not order, please have your child return the order in its entirety to the Front Office as soon as possible.  We do not have any extra uniforms available for purchase at this time, but will keep you informed via the weekly bulletins, when more uniforms are available for purchase.  Thank you for your patience as we resolve this situation.
