Hawaii Baptist Academy follows current State of Hawaii guidelines relating to travel.
If you return from inter-island travel without symptoms, you will not be required to self-quarantine.
If you return from international or domestic travel, you will be required to self-quarantine for 14 days. You will be allowed to return to campus after the self-quarantine is completed with state clearance.
The state's new travel testing program beginning on August 1, 2020, will waive a 14-day self-quarantine for all returning international or domestic travelers with a negative COVID-19 FDA-approved PCR test from a CLIA-certified laboratory test taken within 72 hours prior to their arrival in Hawaii. A 14-day self-quarantine is still required for travelers without a negative pre-test. The traveler will be allowed to return to campus with a state’s clearance after completing the self-quarantine.
If someone with whom you reside has returned from an international or domestic trip and he/she is symptom-free and participating in the required 14-day self-quarantine, non-quarantined household members, including students, parents, and employees of HBA, may access campuses during the recently returned individual’s required self-quarantine.
All individuals seeking campus access in any of these scenarios should request and confirm approval from the campus administrator or the Director of Human Resources before coming on campus.
All school-related international travel has been suspended for the 2020-2021 school year and domestic travel suspended until December 31, 2020. All policies are subject to change; please revisit this page for updates.
