Leading to Serve
Hawaii Baptist Academy (HBA) started from humble beginnings as a small school founded by Christian missionaries in 1949, with 36 students. Today, we serve more than 1,000 students each year on our elementary, middle school, and high school campuses.
What has remained steadfast in our nearly 75-year story is that we bring faith and learning together so that we may join God in the formation of people and the transformation of the world.
How do we do that? We believe that every person has a God-given purpose with many unique gifts and talents. We are committed to helping our students grow and discover these giftings and further equipping our students to develop confidence in their calling.
By equipping our students, we are not only providing a solid academic and extracurricular foundation, but we are nurturing the faith-based values of humility, curiosity, love, and commitment.
With these values, we are cultivating leaders who will shine God’s love in our community and world through the way they are leading to serve. This is something that has been woven into the tapestry of HBA’s history. You can see God’s handiwork that has been guiding a heart of leadership and service since the inception of HBA.
