Five Seniors Receive Prestigious UH Scholarships

Five seniors from the class of 2022 were offered academic scholarships to the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

Celina Tong and Kate Higa were awarded Regents Scholarships, which include full tuition for four years, a $4,000 yearly stipend, and a $2,000 one-time travel grant.

Evan Yoshishige, Kisa Tamai, and Noah Watanabe were awarded Provost Achievement Scholarships, which include a $10,000 yearly tuition credit for four years.

To qualify, applicants must be a resident of the state of Hawaii, have at least a 3.8 grade point average, and submit an essay along with letters of recommendation. Extra-curricular activities, athletics, leadership, community service and employment are also taken into consideration.
