HBA’s eighth graders participated in the school’s very first STEM Day on February 15. For one whole day, the students focused only on STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) challenges, such as building robots with toothbrushes, designing a vehicle powered by helium, and much more. The students also got to dress up as their favorite science fiction characters, or as a famous professional in the science field. All of the winners received medals that were printed on the middle school’s new 3D printer.
