Three Students Win Awards at State Science Fair

Seven students represented Hawaii Baptist Academy at the Hawaii State Science and Engineering Fair on April 10. Three students were awarded at the Hawaii State Science and Engineering Fair on April 10. They are: 

  • Kae-sn Chang-Shultz, 8th grader. Project title: “Which Brand of Battery Lasts Longest?” First Place, Embedded Systems. 
  • Noah Hu, 8th grader. Project title: “Lotion Commotion.” First Place, Translational Medical Science.
  • Jolie Wong, 8th grader. Project title: “Radio Weave from Everyday Devices.” $50 Award from Emergency Amateur Radio Club. 

Additionally, three other students represented HBA at the fair. They were Kyle Kumasaka, 8th grader; Taylor Malinger, 7th grader; Lyndsy Mashino, 8th grader; and Waika Wilson, 8th grader.
