Library
HBA offers two libraries, one at the elementary school and a second at the high school campus.
Middle School & High School Learning Resource Center
The Middle and High School Learning Resource Center is a state-of-the-art facility that was renovated in 2013 as part of HBA’s high school expansion project. The Learning Center supports the curricular, research and recreational needs of faculty and students. Students have access to extensive, up-to-date print resources as well as online research databases and a growing ebook collection allowing 24/7 access to resources. Ample space is available for students to study independently or in groups. There is also a soundproof, audio recording booth that is available for student use.
Adjacent to the library is the technology lab which supports student learning by providing students and faculty with access to a variety of computer applications and technology. A middle school computer lab is available on the middle school campus during school hours.
The Learning Resource Center is open from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on school days; it is closed on holidays and after school on half-day schedules.
Elementary Library
Students visit the library once every six days to borrow books and hone their information literacy skills. The librarian collaborates with classroom teachers to plan lessons and teach skills necessary for completing classroom assignments and accomplishing grade level objectives.
The library is available before school, after school, and during certain recesses.
