HBA’s Technology Approach

HBA’s twofold approach to technology instruction and application is founded on the belief that technology is a tool and that technology skill development is more effective in the context of a course that uses technology as a means to an end.  The programs that compose this approach are:

Technology Integration

Our teachers embed relevant technologies in the core curriculum to teach and apply basic technological skills as well as to enhance learning. Some of the examples of Technology Integration are:

  • 1:1 in-class iPads for K-3
  • 1:1 in-class Chromebooks for 4-6
  • 1:1 Chromebook Initiative in grades 7-12
  • Mobile and/or Desktop Computer Labs on all campuses
  • Google accounts for students in grades 4-12
  • Adobe Accounts for 7-12

Technology Intensive [TI] Courses
