Hawaii Baptist Academy welcomes you as a candidate for admission. Applications for the 2020-2021 school year will be accepted beginning September 1, 2019. The non-refundable application fee is $100 and the deadline to apply is January 15, 2020.

Age Requirements

All kindergarten boys must be five years old by July 31, 2020.

All kindergarten girls must be five years old by September 30, 2020.

Application Steps

Step 1: Complete the application and submit all documents through Ravenna

  • Submit Birth Certificate
  • Submit Progress Report or Report Card, if applicable
  • Submit one (1) Teacher Reference Form

Step 2: Attend scheduled interview session

Step 3: Attend group observation/developmental testing appointments

Selection Process

Students for Kindergarten are selected on the basis of performance on the developmental test administered by HBA, teacher recommendations and current progress reports. Due of the limited enrollment in each grade level, only those students who demonstrate a potential for success with our school programs are admitted.

Notification of Admission Decision

After tests results, recommendation forms, interview, school report cards and all other pertinent data are evaluated, notification of the admission decision will be made. You can expect to receive a decision letter from us according to the following timetable:

Decision letters mailed out no later than April 22, 2020.
Date to reply: May 10, 2020.

Admissions notification continues as long as there are vacancies. Students on the waiting list will be notified when an opening occurs.
