Primary Fees (all students K-12)*

Student Activity Fee: (New 2026-2027 school year)

This initial fee is the combination of previous initial fees (Book Fee, Comprehensive Fee, and Technology Fee). This nonrefundable fee is billed according to the family's payment plan. For example, If a family has the monthly payment plan, this fee would be spread over the 10 months. If a student withdraws from HBA during the year, the entire fee will be due upon withdrawal.

Student Activity Fee: $720-$1,200

Elementary:  Includes all textbooks and workbooks, except special music supplies.  Includes cost of yearbook, BOB shirt, programs and assemblies, testing, most field trips, assignment books, athletics, and campus security. Grade 6 camp fees and certain EL grade level activities are also included. Includes electronic devices for students along with 3rd party softwares and applications.

Middle/High School:  Includes all textbooks and workbooks, except for the special elective course fees such as art, band/choir, mechanical drawing, etc.Includes cost of yearbook, testing, student handbook/catalog,  programs & assemblies, student planners (7 – 12), transportation (field trips and athletics), athletics, and campus security.  Grades 7-12 camp fees and certain MHS grade level activities are also included. Includes electronic devices for students along with 3rd party softwares and applications.

Additional Fees*

After School Enrichment Program (Optional, Grades K-6 only): $3,500
Enrollment fee covers after school year for the entire school year when school is in session. It does not include care provided during school breaks (Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer).

Tuition Refund Plan (TRP) Insurance Fee: $166
This insurance plan is required for students on the semi-annual, installment payment plans, annual payment plans with financial aid; and optional for students on the annual payment plan schedule. The premium is approximately 1.00% of tuition. (See brochure (on school website) or enrollment contract for more information about the TRP plan.)

Class Dues (Mandatory, Middle/High School only): $65-100
Vary by grade; Class dues include the class shirt and other expenses.

PTF Dues: $25 one-time charge per family.

Elective Course Fees (Grades 7-12 only): $5-$217
Certain Middle School and High School elective courses require additional fees for supplies and other materials. A listing  of these courses can be found in the Student Handbook under Academic Information – Course Descriptions. Elective Course Fees will be billed during 2nd QTR and any additional fees or changes will be billed during 3rd QTR.

Hawaii Baptist Academy is pleased to offer a 10 percent tuition discount to our alumni, siblings, and military employees. All tuition and required fees are to be paid directly through Tuition Management via EFT Debit or credit card (a 3.12%  convenience fee is charged by Tuition Management for credit cards).  Tuition is payable either annually, semi-annually, or by installment

Annual (Full) Payment
Tuition is payable in advance in one single payment on or before July 5 and includes a $150 prepayment discount (not applicable for financial aid recipients). Enrollment in the Tuition Refund Plan is optional.

Semi-Annual Payments
Tuition is payable in advance in two installments. The first installment is one half of the tuition along with all fees and due on or before July 5. The second installment of the balance is due on or before December 5. This option requires enrollment in the Tuition Refund Plan.

Installment (10-Month) Payments
Payments are divided into ten monthly installments from July 5 to April 5. All fees are included in the July 5 payment. This option requires a $150 handling fee per family and enrollment in the Tuition Refund Plan.

HBA assesses a $40 late fee and finance charge of 1.5% per month on all unpaid student account balances. Student accounts must be paid in full prior to the issuance of official academic transcripts or participation in graduation ceremonies.

Insufficient Funds (NSF) fees: 
A $40.00 NSF Tuition Management fee is charged directly by Tuition Management on the first item returned for insufficient funds. 

Cancellation of Acceptance/Enrollment by School 
Hawaii Baptist Academy reserves the right to cancel the Acceptance of an incoming and/or returning student’s enrollment,  for any reason or no reason at all, prior to the first school day of the academic year. In the event your Acceptance is cancelled, you will receive full reimbursement of your Enrollment deposit and any tuition payment made for the upcoming  academic year.
