Dee (Palmer) Cook
Dee Cook graduated from HBA in 1975, where her cherished experiences as a student helped shape her calling to serve as an overseas missionary with Indigenous Ministries. Founded in 2003 by her and her husband, John, Indigenous Ministries has become an internationally recognized organization that reaches refugees by equipping native nationals to share the Gospel in regions including India, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
Through its Child Sponsorship Program, medical and nutritional programs, educational and training programs, church planting program, various ministries, and humanitarian relief efforts, Indigenous Ministries empowers refugee communities to thrive physically, spiritually, and socially.
Among its many ministries and community-development programs, Indigenous Ministries helped establish two Bible colleges: Grace Bible College in Maharashtra, India (founded by John and an Indian colleague) and Middle East Theological College in Erbil, Iraq (founded by John).
Upon John’s passing in 2023, Dee graciously continues the impactful legacy of Indigenous Ministries, serving as CEO, and edifying countless lives across the globe to grow in the knowledge and reality of the Gospel.
