Erin Kanno Uehara is a local girl, born and raised in Hawaiʻi, with a big dream—not to own a chocolate business. It was never her plan to open a chocolate shop. Her dream was to help make the world a better place by connecting with people and investing in relationships. It just so happened that her obedience to take steps of faith led her to find a long-lost family member who taught her and her husband, HBA Class of 2002 graduate Chris Uehara, how to make chocolates. Since 2012, she has been grateful to be the owner of the award-winning gourmet chocolate company, Choco le’a, whose mission is—“Bringing peace to our world, one chocolate at a time.”

Erin is a wife, mother of a 9-year-old son, Conner, and an 11-year-old daughter, Aubrey, who is an incoming HBA 6th grader. She is the CCO (Chocolate Connections Officer) of Choco le’a, an author, blogger, motivational speaker, active volunteer in her community and church, and is affectionately known as “your chocolate friend.” Join us at Ho’olaule’a to discover more about Choco le’a!
