Alexia Sommers
Alexia Sommers ’16 is a health insurance consultant, marketing specialist, and founder of She Means Business, an educational program that empowers young women to become confident, financially independent entrepreneurs. Based in Honolulu, she runs her own marketing and consulting company, Muse Social Creation, which specializes in social media strategy and brand development. In addition to her work in marketing, Alexia also works in health insurance consulting, helping Medicare-eligible individuals find the right coverage for their needs.
Through She Means Business, Alexia leads live workshops across schools and organizations in Hawai‘i, equipping young women with tools for entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and personal growth.
Alexia holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentrations in Marketing, Sales Management, and Professional Selling from Liberty University. She also studied at California Baptist University and completed discipleship training through Youth With A Mission (YWAM). In 2025, Alexia competed in the Miss Hawai‘i USA pageant as Miss Kahala USA, where she earned 3rd Runner-Up and received the People's Choice Award, Social Media Award, and Angel DeCosta Best Interview Award. Her passion for service and mentorship extends beyond her business—she partnered with Women Speaking Out to provide youth education on dating violence prevention and volunteers with Giving Hope Hawaii, supporting underserved communities with food and essential resources.
Outside of her professional work, Alexia is active in her church, where she sings on the worship team, and cherishes time with her fluffy white pomeranian, Leila. A passionate traveler, she once took a bold step to pause her college studies and spend a year exploring South America, Puerto Rico, and the East Coast—an experience that shaped her faith, resilience, and cultural appreciation. That journey ignited her academic drive and taught her to trust in God’s timing, lessons she continues to carry into her life and work today.
