Tara Char
Tara was born and raised on the East side of Oahu and attended Hawaii Baptist Academy from grades K-12, graduating with the class of 2004. She was an active participant in soccer, volleyball, basketball, and softball, as well as the Eagle Eye team, Yearbook committee, and Interact club. She then went on to earn her BA in English at the University of Hawaii-Manoa.
Soon after graduating from UHM in 2009, she started her dog walking/pet sitting business, Tara’s Dog Services, which has proved to be such a blessing for the past 13 years. Her business has evolved over the years in ways she had not imagined from when she first started it at the tender age of 23.
Tara is currently in grad school at Chaminade University pursuing her Masters in Mental Health Counseling so that she can fulfill another dream of becoming a Psychotherapist. She feels called to now help people, in addition to animals. Upon graduation, her goal is to incorporate her love of animals with her love of people, through therapeutic practices.
When not working or studying, Tara enjoys working out at the gym, checking out new restaurants, listening to podcasts and music, traveling, attending live shows, binge watching her favorite tv shows and movies, relaxing at the beach, and spending lots of quality time with dear family and friends.
