Daniel Arita
Daniel Arita ʼ03 is a seasoned professional with over 17 years of dedicated service to American Floor and Home, formerly known as The Carpet Shoppe, Inc. His journey with the company began shortly after graduating from college. Throughout his tenure, Daniel has spearheaded numerous initiatives aiming at expanding the company’s product offerings and market reach. He successfully established a distribution sales department targeting neighbor island flooring dealers and introduced an extensive range of new products. Daniel’s leadership also extends to managing large scale projects, such as the Country Club Village 6 and 801 South Street Buildings A and B.
In 2019, Daniel initiated the KIBA Division, focusing on home remodeling. He expanded the company’s services to encompass comprehensive renovations for residential and commercial projects, positioning American Floor and Home as a one-stop destination for all interior finishing needs.
Daniel is deeply committed to giving back to the community. He actively participates in various charitable organizations, including Aloha United Way, Hawaiian Humane Society, Junior Achievement Hawaii, and Breast Cancer Awareness, among others. Daniel’s philanthropic efforts extend to serving on the boards of Aloha United Way, The Carpet Shoppe, Inc., Pali Momi Foundation, and advisory roles for the Better Business Bureau and Carpet One National.
Daniel’s outstanding contributions have been recognized nationally and within the flooring industry. He was honored with the Floor Focus National Magazine’s 2024 Emerging Leaders Award. In 2021, he was named among the Top 35 Under 40 by Flooring Covering News. Additionally, he received the Pacific Business News 40 Under 40 award in 2023 and was named among Hawaii Business Magazine’s 20 For the Next 20 in 2024.
In his personal time, Daniel cherishes moments with his wife, son, daughter, and family. His dedication to both his professional and personal pursuits reflect his unwavering commitment to excellence and making a positive impact on those around him.
