Hawaii Baptist Academy offers choir beginning at fourth grade through high school. Students have opportunities to perform at various venues throughout the islands, including special trips to the mainland.

Eagle Choir (4th - 6th Grade)

Under the direction of Mrs. Jody Lovett, the Eagle Choir is made up of students in grades 4-6. These students perform in churches and public venues, including Kahala Mall and Ala Moana Center. The Eagle Choir also performs alongside the middle school and high school choirs at various performances, including the Winter Concert, Spring Concert, and the Soldiers of Light and Halau Dinner Theater. Students practice twice a week after school.

Intermediate Choir (7th - 8th Grade)

Intermediate choir is offered as an elective class for students in grades 7 - 8. Directed by Todd Yokotake, the class is a one semester commitment. The choir performs alongside the high school concert choir and Soldiers of Light at various venues throughout the school year.

Concert Choir (9th - 12th Grade)

Concert choir is an elective course open to students in grades 9 - 12. It provides opportunity for individual participation in group choral activities. The work of the choir is concentrated in the area of performance. The chief goal of the choir is for participants to have well-rounded musical growth and experiences. There is no limit to the number of times students can choose choir as an elective. Prerequisite: Selection by audition.

Soldiers of Light (9th - 12th Grade)

Soldiers of Light, also known as HBA’s select choir, is a year-long elective course open to students in grades 9 - 12. Enrollment is by audition only with the instructor’s written consent. The primary purpose is a Christian music ministry to various churches in the Hawaii Pacific Baptist Convention and to other evangelical Christian churches on Oahu. All enrolled students are required to perform at least once a month outside of school hours.
