HBA Theater Production presents Lauren Gunderson's "Silent Sky". Based on the lives of real women astronomers from the early 20th century, Silent Sky tells the story of a woman who insists on the exceptional. Henrietta Leavitt gets a job as one of the first “computers” at Harvard, helping the male astronomers map out the universe. She attempts to balance her own scientific ambitions, family obligations, and the possibility of love, while discovering in the end that if you ask God a question, He will answer.
Performed with permission from Dramatist Play Services.
Intermission will feature a recorded performance by HBA's Wind Ensemble as well as a song sung by Ella Lim ('23).
