HBA is a member of the Interscholastic League of Honolulu (ILH) and offers a wide range of sports. Boys and girls in grades 7-12 compete on HBA teams for basketball, volleyball, tennis, golf, bowling, cross country, cheerleading, and track and field. For other sports, they compete on PAC-Five teams, joining students from other private schools. Elementary students in grades 5-6 have opportunities to play on volleyball and basketball teams that compete against other private schools in the Christian Schools Athletic League (CSAL).
Our HBA boys and girls varsity basketball teams traveled to Southern California to participate in tournaments over the winter break and both squads acquitted themselves well.
The HBA girls and boys stand alone atop the state in Division 2 varsity cross country. The Eagles swept the team titles at the 2018 Honolulu Marathon / HHSAA Division 2 State Cross Country Championships.
Members of our HBA boys and girls cross country teams traveled to Southern California to participate in the Asics Cool Breeze Evening Invitational.
For the 11th consecutive year – and 12th time in 13 years – HBA has won the Kaimana Award for overall school excellence.
About 320 students, coaches, parents and guests gathered at the HBA Varsity Athletic Awards Banquet on May 19.
