Endurance (Merit) Scholarship

Hawaii Baptist Academy (HBA) is blessed to have scholarships established by various donors for students excelling in academics, arts, volunteer service and/or extracurricular activities.  The minimum cumulative GPA for applying for the Endurance scholarship is 3.0 (or equivalent).  The selection committee considers scholastic achievement, artistic achievement, volunteer service, leadership and extracurricular activities.

There are currently over twenty-five Endurance scholarships offered. Scholarship awards vary in amounts, from $1,000 to $2,500. If there is a tie, an award amount will be split. All Endurance scholarships are for one year and are not renewable, however, a student may re-apply every year. The minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA (or elementary equivalent) requirement must be maintained at the 1st semester report cards, in order to retain the scholarship for the 2nd semester.

These Endurance scholarship opportunities are open to all incoming applicants to HBA and current HBA students meeting the minimum GPA requirement. There are no income restrictions to apply.  Before an award can be distributed, the student must be enrolled for the 2024-2025 school year.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a common application for both Eagle’s Wings and Endurance scholarships. Either an Eagle’s Wings or Endurance scholarship will be awarded per student. If you have already applied for the Eagle’s Wings Scholarship, please do not submit another application as our selection committee will consider your application for either scholarship if the minimum criteria is met.

If you are unable to submit this form online, please contact our Financial Aid and Scholarship Committee office at fasc@hba.net or call 808-564-0358.
