Megan Kono

Megan Kono, Farmers Market General Manager at the Hawaii Farm Bureau­­–a private nonprofit organization representing Hawaii’s local farmers and rancher– has been managing five Oahu farmers markets for the past three years. Megan is also the editor of the Hawaii Farm & Food magazine, Hawaii Farm Bureau’s quarterly publication. After graduating from the Hawaii Baptist Academy in 2012, she received her BA in Economics and English from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and is currently enrolled in an online MBA program at Washington State University’s Carson College of Business. Born and raised on the island of Oahu, Megan developed a passion for the local agricultural community and a deep appreciation for our food producers. Through her time at the Hawaii Farm Bureau, she initiated the Farm to Car program, an innovative approach to providing fresh fruits and vegetables to consumers through an online farmers market with curbside pickup. Outside of work, Megan enjoys a good Netflix binge but can also be found surfing, fishing, hiking or running with her family and pup named Loki.
