To assist us in managing the safety of our campuses, we ask that you notify us if you believe you have been exposed to COVID-19, are in the process of testing for COVID-19, or have tested positive for COVID-19. (All information will be kept confidential and on a need-to-know basis with our internal tracers, president's office and your campus principal.)

Each campus has designated morning and afternoon drop-off and pick-up areas. Due to limited parking availability,  and for added convenience, we have auto lines to minimize traffic congestion.

Parents may opt to utilize our autoline or choose to pick up/drop off their child(ren) at school, if parking is available. Parking is limited so we ask that you keep your visit to less than 15 minutes to allow for other parents/guardians to have the same opportunity.  Each campus has additional instructions for staging, parking, utilizing PikMyKid, etc. to ensure safety and security.

If you wish to stay longer than 15 minutes between the hours of 7:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m., we ask that you make an appointment with the campus administrators, so the respective campus can include you on their campus access lists.  Visitors that are staying longer than 15 minutes must check in at the guard shack and sign in at the school office to receive a visitor's badge.

All visitors must abide by all visitor/volunteer policies while on campus and follow any additional instructions provided by security, staff, and administrators.

Mask wearing continues to be optional indoors and outdoors.  There may be exceptions to this rule as directed by the respective campuses. For example, visitors must continue to be masked as they enter campus until after they check in and complete the temperature screening process.

We want to ensure that even though mask wearing is optional, we continue to honor each other’s decision to wear masks or not.  Regardless of an individual’s choice, we ask that all students and employees continue to bring a mask to school to have on hand in the event that one is required in certain circumstances.  We would like to encourage all families to discuss this with their child(ren) at home.

HBA strongly encourages faculty, staff, and students to be vaccinated for COVID-19.  The vast majority of our faculty and staff have been vaccinated.  

However, we recognize that the choice to get vaccinated is a personal family decision and we will not be mandating vaccines at this time.

There may be certain situations where COVID testing is required, such as participating in athletic events at other campuses or group travel.

In a world that is divided, let us be an ʻohana that chooses to press on together.  The health and safety protocols and procedures at HBA are designed to keep both unvaccinated and vaccinated individuals safe.

• CLOSE CONTACT- will no longer need to quarantine regardless of their vaccination status as long as they are symptom free.

• POSITIVE CASE- Individuals who test positive for COVID will be asked to enter into isolation for five (5) days from the date of a positive test.  The individual may return to campus if:
  A) the individual no longer has any symptoms and is fever-free for 24 hours without the aid of medication;
  B) the individual is able to wear a mask for an additional five (5) days after release from isolation (day 6 through 10);
  C) a doctor's note is submitted prior to returning to campus, which is consistent with our current health policies requiring a doctor's note when an individual misses three (3) or more days of school
