Brent Vargas is a 2014 alum of Hawaii Baptist Academy. He attended University of Hawai’i at Manoa with his B.A. in communications with an emphasis in public relations. While at HBA, Brent was fortunate to build many lasting bonds with faculty members as he was required to spend the majority of his lunch periods and breaks in their offices. While teachers often used the words “Kolohe” and “talkative” to describe him, he tends to refer to himself as “personable” and “willing to engage socially,” which is why high school was so enjoyable. During his time at HBA, some of his fondest memories include soaring at basketball games as the honorary eagle mascot and landing the lead role in the school's spring musical (High School Musical). Brent works as a contract specialist for NAVFAC Pacific Pearl Harbor and is excited to use his “gift of gab” to give back to HBA.
