Suehiro Family

August Suehiro ‘67

August is a retired Hawaii Department of Education school principal. It was at HBA he accepted Christ as his personal savior. He is thankful for teachers like Ms. Maurine King and Mrs. Mabel Minshall for getting him into college. He enjoys traveling and spending time with family. He and his wife, Lorry, have been blessed with two children, Kevin (HBA class of 1994) and Kara (HBA class of 1999) and three grandchildren, two of whom are students at the elementary campus.

Kevin Suehiro ‘94

Kevin graduated from HBA in 1994. Following high school, Kevin attended Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska for both his undergraduate study and for dental school. He currently maintains a private practice in Honolulu. In his spare time, he is happy that he HAS spare time to spend with his wife and their two year old son. Kevin will always be grateful for the time he spent at HBA (13 years), and his prayer is that others will continue to receive the same quality education he did.

Jonathan Crosson ‘98

Jonathan is a nurse manager of the Oncology Care Unit at Straub Medical Center. In his free time he enjoys leading cub scouting activities for his sons Caleb and Grayson. His favorite memories of HBA are catching the bus or catching rides to and from school with friends. What he most appreciates about HBA are the lifelong friendships he made, his relationship with God and because he ultimately met his wife Kara because of their HBA connection.

Kara (Suehiro) Crosson ‘99

Kara attended Oregon State University after graduating from HBA and went on to study at Creighton University where she received her occupational therapy degree. She currently works at Kaiser Permanente. She attended HBA for all thirteen years and was a part of the last Kindergarten class at the Nehoa campus before the elementary school moved to their current Nuuanu location. She hopes that her sons Caleb and Grayson, will experience the love of God and come to know Him while at HBA.

Caleb Crosson ‘30

Caleb will begin his 5th grade year this coming fall at HBA. Last year, he enjoyed serving on the Christian Ministries Team and is looking forward to more fun opportunities this year. In his free time, he enjoys piano and swim team.

Grayson Crosson ‘34

Grayson will be entering the 1st grade this year. As a Kindergartener last year he served his class as a Student Ambassador. Grayson enjoys playing with his big brother, ukulele, and soccer.
