DEVOTIONAL SPEAKER

Craig Webb has served as Executive Director-Treasurer of the Hawaii Pacific Baptist Convention since August 2023, after joining the staff team in 2018.

Born on Oʻahu, Craig spent his earliest years in Mānoa, where his father directed the Baptist Student Union at the University of Hawaiʻi. His elementary years were in Kalihi, where his dad pastored Kalihi Baptist Church and where Craig attended Fern Elementary School. He remembers asking his parents why he couldn’t attend Hawaiʻi Baptist Academy and learning it simply wasn’t possible on a small-church pastor’s salary. That early experience has given Craig a deep gratitude for the work of the Mainland Advisory Committee and a strong commitment to scholarships for pastors’ children.

After his family moved to Tennessee when he was eleven, Craig went on to graduate from Samford University (B.A.), Southern Seminary (M.Div.). He later earned a Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He has served in pastoral leadership in both Tennessee and Hawaiʻi — including nine years as pastor of Lahaina Baptist Church on Maui. He also worked at Lifeway Christian Resources and continues to do so today as a content editor for Deacon Magazine on a contract basis.

In his role as Executive Director of HPBC, Craig serves as an ex officio member of the HBA Executive Board. He enjoys working side by side with President Ron Shiira and HBA’s outstanding staff and faculty. He counts it a joy to see the impact of HBA’s ministry in the lives of students and families.

Craig and his wife, Barbara — his high school sweetheart — were married in 1986. They have been blessed with three grown children and six grandchildren.

MAC LEADERSHIP

DON RANDALL, CHAIR 2024 - 2026

Don Randall was born and raised in Greenville South Carolina.  He met Debbie Miller at a church function as a teenager and was married on June 18, 1972.  They have one son, Craig and two grandchildren.  Don and Debbie currently live in Murrells Inlet, SC and attend Low Country Community Church, where Don is an Elder.  Their two families own and operate FirstLight Home Care, with numerous locations in the Southeast.  Don also serves on the board of Garden City Chapel and Retreat.

Don and Debbie were raised by awesome Christian parents, and as they grew older, they realized their need for accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

They were introduced to HBA by John and Donna Stanford in 2011 and have loved every minute and trip they have made to MAC meetings.

JULIE MORGAN REYNOLDS, VICE-CHAIR 2024-2026

Julie Morgan Reynolds, a second generation MAC member, joined in 2005 after attending her first MAC Week with her parents, Dr. Darold H. Morgan and Dr. Elizabeth Morgan. Dr. Morgan began visiting HBA in the late 70s as part of his duties as CEO of the Southern Baptist Annuity Board (now Guidestone). He developed close working relationships with Dan Kong and Dick Bento and brought in many new MAC members from his wide circle of friends and church members from FBC, Richardson, TX. Julie experienced firsthand the extraordinary graciousness of everyone associated with HBA and the lasting, genuine friendships cultivated year after year. Her dad repeatedly told her, “You just have to experience HBA during MAC Week. Descriptions and words don’t begin to convey the outstanding spiritual experience and genuine depth of the people.”

Who are the MAC?

The Mainland Advisory Council (MAC) is a group of more than 300 friends who have supported HBA since 1977 through prayer, financial giving, and recruiting of new donors. The impact that the MAC and its friends have had on HBA through the years reaches far beyond Hawaii's shores and spans generations. They come from 25 states and generally consider the annual meeting in Honolulu a combination revival and reunion.

The annual MAC meeting is one of the highlights of the year for the entire HBA family. During the week, our mainland friends meet our students, faculty and staff, alumni, parents and grandparents during campus visits. They also are updated on the latest plans for the school and its future.

"I first became interested in Hawaii Baptist Academy while working on the missions committee at my church. Bob Spotswood, who is a MAC member, gave me information about HBA. I was amazed by the story of how HBA acquired its elementary campus. God’s provision and favor were clearly evident. I then came to visit the school, and was overwhelmed by the joy I experienced from the children."

Clara Inglish, Dallas, Texas.
MAC Member since 2012.
