A wonderful mission opportunity awaits you during MAC Week in Honolulu, February 18-21, 2020. Started by Southern Baptist missionaries with 36 students in 1949, Hawaii Baptist Academy today serves more than 1,000 students in grades K–12. One of the leading independent schools in the state, HBA remains committed to academic excellence and to its evangelical mission. The thriving ministry attests to the commitment of the school’s supporters, including members of our Mainland Advisory Council (MAC) who have had a key role in the new campus development. The continuing partner ship of our mainland friends is crucial in our efforts to reach more young people for Christ through a quality Christian education. During MAC Week you will witness God’s provisions through campus visits and meaningful interactions with the students, faculty, and staff.
A Message From Our MAC Chair
Dear MAC Friends,
As Mainland Advisory Council (MAC) chair I invite you, your families, and friends to attend our 44th MAC Week, February 18–21, 2020. My wife, Vicky, and I have fallen in love with HBA and are looking forward to another opportunity to meet with President Ron Shiira, the faculty, and staff to learn what’s new at HBA and how we can be a part of it. Most of all we look forward to meeting with the students—elementary, middle and high school. Seeing their enthusiasm in worship as well as academics provides an extra lift in the winter months. It also provides us with the up close and personal experience that makes us want to support such a vital ministry in God’s Kingdom. I look forward to renewing old friendships and making new ones. So make your plans now to come on out this February.
Sincerely,
Paul Jordan
