Scholarships & Program Support
Gift of Scholarship
A scholarship is a meaningful way to invest in students and the future of Hawai‘i Baptist Academy. You can establish a scholarship based on financial need, student merit, or college support. Whether you want to honor someone special, or create a lasting legacy, HBA offers a variety of ways to give.
Annual Scholarships
Annual scholarships provide support each year and are not endowed. Named annual scholarships can be established with a minimum annual gift of $1,000.
Endowed Scholarships
Endowed scholarships are designed to provide support in perpetuity. The fund's principal is invested, with a portion of the earnings used to provide scholarships over time.
Named endowed scholarships can be established with a minimum initial gift of $10,000, with a goal of building the fund to at least $20,000 within five years. Scholarship distributions begin once the fund reaches $20,000.
Scholarship opportunities may include:
- HBA Scholarships – Support current HBA students based on financial need.
- HBA Merit Scholarships – Support current HBA students who demonstrate excellence or interest in a particular area or program.
- College Scholarships – Support HBA graduates as they pursue higher education.
