Tuition & Fees

Upon child's enrollment, parents are obligated to pay the full tuition and fees for the full academic year. No portion of tuition or fees or charges paid or outstanding will be refunded or cancelled in the event of a student’s absence, withdrawal or dismissal from Hawaii Baptist Academy. Your obligation may be cancelled by notifying Hawaii Baptist Academy in writing by June 25 prior to the beginning of the school year that your child will not enroll. Cancellation of your enrollment may also be subject to forfeiture of your reservation deposit.

Continuous Enrollment

Because we value your time, we are introducing “Continuous Enrollment” to simplify our re-enrollment process. By signing a Continuous Enrollment Contract by March 1, 2017, your child will remain enrolled every year until graduation. The enrollment deposit will be automatically deducted from your FACTS account on March 15 annually and your child will be guaranteed their space for the upcoming year. The benefit is that you will never have to sign another enrollment contract again!


2017-18 Tuition
Grades K-12 $16,300

Comprehensive Fee and Book Fee (fees may be subject to change)
  • Grades K-6 $500
  • Grades 7-12 $690 - $740

The comprehensive fee is required in addition to tuition. It covers the cost of yearbook, testing, technology, programs and assemblies, transportation (field trips and athletics), the student newspaper, planner, handbook-catalogue, book rentals, BOB t-shirt (elementary), locker rental, special course supplies and materials, class scheduling and campus security.

For the middle-high school, the fee covers athletics, access and maintenance of the new athletic locker, grade level camps and varying elective course fees.

After School Enrichment Program
Grades K-6 $1,750

Tuition Payments

Tuition is payable either annually, by semester, or monthly
  • Annual (Full) Payment
    • Tuition is payable in advance in one single payment on or before July 5 prior to the beginning of the school year and includes a $150 tuition reduction (not applicable for financial aid recipients).
  • Semi-Annual Payments
    • Tuition is payable in advance in two installments. The first installment for at least one-half of the tuition along with all fees is due on or before July 1 prior to the beginning of the school year. The second installment of the balance is due on or before December 1.
  • Installment (10-Month) Payments
    • This option requires a $150 handling fee per family and is only available via automatic deduction from checking or savings accounts. Payments are divided into ten monthly installments from July 5 – April 5. All fees are included in the July 5 automatic deduction.

HBA assesses a $25 late fee and finance charge of 1.5% per month on all unpaid student account balances. Student accounts must be paid in full prior to the issuance of official academic transcripts or participation in graduation ceremonies.

Tuition Refund Plan

HBA offers tuition insurance to assist with financial losses incurred during the academic year because of withdrawal, dismissal, extended medical absence or death of a student’s parent or legal guardian. Participation in TRP is required for families who choose the semi-annual or installment payment plans, and optional for those who choose the annual (full) payment option.
