Student Ambassadors: Duties & Elections

Student Council Ambassador Duties & Requirements

All student council ambassadors must do the following:

Present student council announcements to their homeroom, prepare/report things for their homeroom and assist with other tasks as needed.
Assist Mrs. McGuire, Mrs. Vorderbruegge, or Mrs. Lee as needed.
Attend Student Council meetings.
Attend Student Council activities and events as they are scheduled.
Possess qualities such as being friendly, ability to communicate clearly, and have good eye contact.
Follow the rules and conduct of HBA Student Handbook.

Term Limit: students may not serve as an ambassador for two consecutive years.

Election Schedule

Nomination Process

Grades JK - 1: Ambassadors will be nominated by their homeroom teacher.
Grades 2-6:
- Candidates may nominate themselves or be nominated by a classmate.
- Students who are nominated must not be on academic or behavioral probation.
- Homeroom teachers may disallow students to run for office if they have broken rules according to the HBA Handbook. This decision will be made at the discretion of the teacher.
